Homemade hummus is one of my favorite snacks with pita chips or pita crackers. A healthy alternative to store-bought, that are usually full of preservatives and often sugar, is to make your own. I like to add pesto or chopped olives for more robust flavor. I don’t add tahini because it’s linked to inflammation and the hummus is just as yummy without it! It’s simple and easy. You just need 10 minutes and a killer food processor like my Cuisinart!

Ingredients:

Simply mix and eat!

Directions are as simple as they can be. Combine everything in your food processor and hit go!

Yummy!

Makes about 2 cups. Lasts for about a week in the refrigerator.
