Simple and easy recipe for high protein addition to your dinner rotation. Quick, healthy and easy. You can use fresh tuna steaks or quality frozen from Costco.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat your grill or put broiler on high
  2. Combine lemon zest, garlic and tarragon; mix well.
  3. Rinse tuna, pat dry.
  4. Season tuna sparingly with salt and pepper, then drizzle olive oil
  5. Rub tuna with tarragon mixture on both sides, let sit 5 minutes.
  6. Grill/broil tuna for 2-5 minutes per side or to desired doneness.

I personally do 3 minutes per side for a pretty rare doneness that just sears in the flavor without overcooking the tuna steak. The trick is to cook it quickly and remove from heat immediately. No one like overcooked tuna!

Serves 4.

I like to serve with couscous and broccoli or a fresh green salad.
